Chicka Chicka Boom Boom

Image
Abby loves listening to her copy of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom!!  It’s one of those winners that is fun to reread (again, and again, and again…) which is definitely a plus for her parents who are still trying to maintain their sanity.  We may or may not have 90% of our children’s books supply memorized by now (and thanks to garage sales, we have a ton ).

Homemade Play-Doh Recipe

Image
My mom used to run a home daycare and this is the play-doh we all grew up with.  Although I have seen a million different play-doh recipes out there, I have yet to try something new because this one works so well!!  If stored in an air tight container, it stays fresh and mold-able for SO long (seriously, MONTHS).  This is a double batch, but you can easily cut it in half if you don’t want as much.  I think it helps encourage creativity when there’s more to go around – plus, there’s enough for me to play too!  Abby loved helping me with the production process.  Other than “cream of tartar,” these ingredients are definitely already sitting in your kitchen.

Easter Egg Counting

Image
I had some leftover Easter eggs from this alphabet activity and figured we could use some counting practice.  This idea has been all over pinterest, but I loved that Playing House added a counting manipulative to make it more exciting!  We have a bunch of pom-poms around, so they worked excellently.

Easter Egg Letters

Preschool activities are so much fun!  And when you correlate them with a seasonal or holiday theme, they’re even better.  As spring approaches, we obviously had to explore some Easter egg learning.🙂  If you can hold off until after Easter, you can get ridiculous amounts of these things for a few cents.  Cheapskate tip for the win!
