Braided Jewelry
Once kids are old enough to learn how to braid yarn, you open a whole new realm of time consuming crafts! Kids might enjoy making jewelry, bridles or leashes for their toy animals, playing cat's cradle (remember that game?!), or hanging their paper art more decoratively with their braids. It's a fun skill to learn, and bonus for moms! Your kids can braid your hair for you! haha
What you need:
- three different colors of yarn
- scissors
- tape
I use three colors when kids are learning to braid as it helps them separate the strands as they go. I also like to tape the top down to a table (or other surface) to hold it still for them as they work.
If you want, combine it with this salt dough recipe and make your necklace even more snazzy! 😊
