Card Making

Hello!  This post has been on my to-do list for months now.  I'm not really a New Year's Resolutions type of person, but I did make up a fun goal for this past year and I'm ready to say - I did it!  You know if I make myself a goal, I am going to achieve it at literally all cost (I know, my personality has it's charms😜).

Abby completed 4th grade, Evie completed 2nd grade, Obie & Elly completed Kindergarten, and Chloe, Josie, & Katie worked on pre-K activities/skills.

Our School Year 2020/2021

This is late (as usual haha), but I'll try and remember what all we did for school.  Abby was in 3rd grade, Evie was in 1st grade, and the toddlers worked on some preschool activities.

Braided Jewelry

Once kids are old enough to learn how to braid yarn, you open a whole new realm of time consuming crafts!  Kids might enjoy making jewelry, bridles or leashes for their toy animals, playing cat's cradle (remember that game?!), or hanging their paper art more decoratively with their braids.  It's a fun skill to learn, and bonus for moms!  Your kids can braid your hair for you! haha

Salt Dough Necklaces

This is an extremely versatile craft!  You can do so much with salt dough: ornaments, play "cookies" for your toy kitchen, baby foot/handprint keepsakes, etc.  With so many girls in the house, we opted for necklaces this time around.

Homemade Scratch Art

The kids loved making this!  They were all shocked when I told them we were going to cover their beautiful colorings with black paint.😂  It's a great way to reuse old crayon drawings (just fill in where there isn't color and then paint over!) and engages kids for quite a while!
